NYC all day long foundation- Review

So I have recently started wearing foundation and bought the NYC all day long foundation. I bought this in the shade; 737 classic ivory. They also have this available in six other shades. I really love the fact that it is not a squeezy  bottle, but has a nozzle to get the liquid out of the bottle. I also really love the packaging of this product.

This foundation I would say gives medium coverage and blends very well. The colour I would say matches my skin pretty perfectly. I love the fact that it does not feel really thick and heavy on my face.

On the bottle it does say lasts up to 14 hours but I definitely do not agree with this. Although it does give good coverage for the first two hours or so I feel as though after a few hours it does seem to disappear. I don't know if this is a result of the actual foundation, or the powder I use to set it because this isn't really the best because it was just a cheap powder I picked up when I bought my Miss Sporty foundation.

Look Beauty Mini Makeup Palette review.

So the other week when I was shopping I was in Superdrug and I saw this stand that I had never seen before. The stand was for the brand Look Beauty. I was looking at what they had to offer when this pink box with different coloured squares on it. I was looking at the different palettes they had and they had; for baby blue eyes, brown eyed girl, pretty green eyes and rock chick.  All of these palettes include 8 eyeshadows, 4 lipglosses, and 1 blusher. I purchased the Baby Blue eyes palette 6 of the eyeshadows in which are glittery. There is a glittery deep purple, a glittery copper, a glittery gold, a glittery cream, a glittery lime green, a pink, a moss green and a glittery dark bluey grey colour. All of these shadows are absolutely gorgeous colours but do take quite a bit of effort to sweep across the whole eyelid.

You then slide open a small draw at the bottom and it reveals the eyeshadows and lipglosses. The lipglosses are a peachy colour, a light brown colour, a pink and a reddy purple. These lipglosses are all absolutely amazing! The colour lasts for ages and they are very pigmented. The blusher is my favourite part of the palette. It is an orangey peach colour and it blends so easily. You only need to dab your blusher brush in once or twice and you will have enough to have a lovely peach glow to your cheeks.

I love this palette. I love the look of the palette, the colours inside and the box you buy it in. I really love it when packaging of a product has a really cute definition of what they are selling. On the back of this box it reads " Highlight your baby blues with contrasting orange and copper. Use the intense shades for an evening smoulder. Finish with a healthy blush and your chosen lip of the day- it's your portable makeup wardrobe!" I think this is super cute and just adds to the all round awesomeness of this palette. I would definitely recommend this palette and the brand. The price when I bought it was £6. I think this is a really great price because of what you get in it.

The actual palette has quite cute packaging as well with a black plastic base and pick writing reading; look beauty. Mini makeover palette. The ultimate face, lip and eye palette.

Meet me!

Hi so I have decided I am going to make this post to let you guys know some stuff about me!

So my name is Danielle, and I am 14 years old. I know some people aren't going to want to read this blog because they will just think what does a girl of 14 years old know? But the idea behind this blog is me telling you guys the things I am learning and working out.

I have been really interested in hair since the end of year 7 (6th grade) and I am now in year 9. I have recently started to become more and more interested in makeup. I know that it is one thing wearing makeup and another being interested in it and I really do enjoy learning about it. So this blog is for people who want tips, enjoy hair and beauty and people who are also starting to enjoy the idea of makeup more and it not just being something we wear to cover up things we don't like. Makeup is supposed to enhance beauty not cover it.

So like I said I am 14 years old. My birthday is in October. I love music. I LOVE The Wanted, Emblem 3, We The Kings and loads more. My favourite tv shows are Vampire Diaries, Glee and The Carrie Diaries. I have an obsession with owls, baby lips and of course The Wanted.

My favourite book is The Fault In Our Stars; Perfect. I enjoy singing and REALLY wish I could draw. My favourite food is cupcakes! I can't dance.

Things to do in 2014

So this year I want to do lots of things with my friends. Last year I wanted to meet up lots but you never get round to doing.

So plan it way in advance! Me and my best friend Sophie have planned a 2014 bucket list and some of them are little bits to do but others are fun days out. For example, one weekend, when there is nice weather. Pff good luck with that one! We are just gonna be like right sunshine all weekend. Lets go to the beach!

This is the kind of thing you need to do. Plan who you will be going with, plan what you are going to do, plan your journey and then just go when the weather is right! Also, sign up for clubs. A youth club, a self defence class or even do some fun volunteer work! This will look great on your CV especially if it is a charity, and if you go with the right it can be a right laugh!

Write a list of things you want to do in 2014. If there is a few small things you want to do then you can probably do a few of these in one day.

And defiantly don't just do something because other people are doing it. If it dosen't interest you, or if you are frightened to do it, don't do it. It is only going to be a waste of time and maybe money, when you could be doing something that you want to do. And don't do it with someone you don't like. If you go in a group and someone you don't like is going to be there, then it is just going to ruin the experience for you. If you know someone in the group you was planning on going with is going to ask to bring someone who is going to ruin the whole thing for everyone, then don't ask them along. Don't go in a group where you know someone is going to get left out. If someone is getting left out, bring them into the conversation and activity because it is never fun sitting on the sidelines, with no one talking to you, knowing caring about your opinion and groups of two or three just having their own conversation. Have a big chat about something everyone is going to talk about. And enjoy the journey because that can be the funnyiest  part of the day!

My 2014 wishlist.

So I am saving up money from now on till my birthday in October and making a wishlist of things I want to buy.

-Baby Skin. This is a pore eraser and a primer. It is a Maybeline New York product and is I guess from the same line as Baby Lips which I am absolutely in love with.
-Cute sweatshirts. I absolutely love sweatshirts I think they are so cute and comfy but really can look awesome if styled properly!
-Jeans- I have quite a few sets of jeans but you can never have too many pears of jeans!
-Owl things- I have a serious obsession with owls.
-The Wanted Word of Mouth tour merch!- I am going to see them in March and I just love them to pieces!
-Books-
The fault in our stars

-Galaxy patterned shoes- I love this pattern I think it is so cute.
